Horrible experience (international moving from Canada to France) !!!

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Orbit for my international move from Canada to France. While the initial process seemed smooth, the additional charges and lack of transparency left much to be desired.

- Unjustified Additional Fees: Despite no prior warning or contractual basis, I was charged extra for logistical issues that were entirely out of my control, such as temporary container movements. These were presented as "unavoidable," yet no proactive communication or alternatives were offered.

- Refusal to Refund Unused Services: I was billed $285 for a parking permit at the delivery destination that was not required or used. When I requested a refund, the company instead claimed the amount was redirected to "warehouse handling fees"—an explanation that does not hold up, given the expedited delivery (0.5 day instead of 2 days).

- Lack of Accountability: My repeated attempts to seek clarity and fair treatment were met with vague justifications and deflections. It seems the company prefers to profit from unclear charges rather than foster trust and transparency with its clients.

Moving internationally is already stressful, and Orbit's handling of this situation added unnecessary frustration. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for professionalism and accountability in their relocation process.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $18000

Although the circumstances of my move were not the best, Jacob and Tomy could not have made it easier to get through. Their great communication skills, capability, and experience made this door to door move appear seamless. Always available to answer questions and provide precision throughout the process, I was never at a loss for information regarding the passage of my goods and arrival dates. I had anticipated a difficult move, but this team really took the weight off my shoulders. Many thanks guys!

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $2500

I was very concerned about moving my household from Toronto to Chicago. However after checking a few moving Companies I was very impressed with Orbit's agent who came to my house to inspect the stuff and provide me a quote a couple of days later. Tomy Klein was more than a moving company agent, he was very friendly, understanding and helpful with the entire move. Orbit crew were very experienced and met all my expectations. Tomy's commitments for pickup and delivery dates remained unchanged and he provided full support till I received my goods in Chicago. We definitely plan to use Orbit International for our return to Canada in a few years. Thanks to Tomy and the Orbit crew.

Dealing with Orbit has been a nightmare and the move hasn't even happened yet.

In fact, Orbit is a website running out of Toronto and contracting other companies to do the actual move for the clients.
It turns out, Orbit is actually contracting Guardian Overseas Shipping LTD.

Guardian sent a very nice gentleman to pack for us and in all honesty, he was very pleasant and professional. I wish I had contracted Guardian to do the move rather than Orbit.

It has been a the worst experience of our lives, at the most stressful time, during an international move.
In the end, I refuse to let Orbit handle any of our things, hoping that Guardian will do the actual move for us so as to not lose time and valuable resources sourcing another mover.


STAY AWAY FROM ORBIT.

Service cost: $1110

It was a nightmare !! let's go for points: the person who came home to take the first contacts was the best, prepared, polite. Exactly what I was looking for to give the task of my 35 move in career !! After him the darkness, the disorganization, the lack of preparation and the continuous requesting money especially from the company World Freight Relocations BV The Netherlands, the Netherlands correspondent for ORBIT Canada. The team that the ORbit sent me to pack my things arrived with over an hour late, with one person less and is away with over 2 hours in advance for personal commitments (she graduated her daughter) by uploading the truck for less than half and taking everything away. The following morning the people at work were only two (less and less) worked until 5 am with the result that the small hire truck they had was not big enough to load my things. I had to leave my things for their disorganization !! In addition, I had to pay the ownership of houses (642 CAD) to throw away the things I was looking for. Beyond the damage also the joke !! Arrival in the Netherlands and here are the problems with the World Freight Relocations BV The Netherlands, after many emails at the end, I am answered by a certain Esmeralda at night. I explain to him that my expedition was diplomatic and she, in the dark of everything and with the utmost sufficiency, tells me that she wanted the bill of lading and the D39 model of customs !! I remember that I asked if I was to work for them or them for me .. I went ahead, I paid a few hundred euros, without invoice, for the storage of a container that if it was not for me it would have been months in storage because the company did not warn me of the arrival, I explained that the house where I lived required the use of an external elevator. After many emails and phone calls and after many anger I managed to do the required documents without the least help from the company! on the day of the move three boys arrive without any equipment. Without even guards for stairs and floors and without external elevator. All stopped until I paid 500 euros cash, without invoice, to have at 1 pm the famous elevator that allowed us to complete the move. The company left me about 100 boxes of medium and great size. This is history, I'm glad it's all over and I'll never use these two companies again.

I Uses Orbit International Moving to ship some personal items from Israel to Toronto

The communication was great, Adi provided a quote and everything arrived on time and it actually cost me a little less at the end as the shipment ended up being a little smaller.

The packing in Israel was great. they wrapped the furniture in a way I have never seen before. They were so careful and used all these materials that protect really well.
The delivery crew in Toronto were polite and professional. Not a single item was broken!

I would recommend Adi and his team at Orbit with no hesitation!

Move size: Studio Service cost: $4300

Very happy with the service Orbit gave, from when our goods were on route, at the docks through to delivery on the day. They always kept us up to date and our furniture arrived all in one piece. We even shipped our wedding cake topper which was secured in the shipping box, but not in the display box(our decision) and that arrived with only the smallest damage to the brides sugar icing bouquet. I have to be impressed with that. The 2 delivery guys we very efficient, courteous, and helpful. Happy to recommend.

The lady I dealt with in Canada, Susan Anderson, was wonderful- she was very helpful, efficient, organised and professional. The men who came to pack also seemed professional.The UK end was a bit disorganised. Susan had already made sure all the documents I needed had been prepared but the UK end started asking for all that paperwork again and it was only with Susan's help that this was resolved.

The real disappointment and shock started with the unpacking. They didn’t even put corner protection on the paintings, so the wooden gold frame of one of the paintings crumbled off, on the vulnerable corner where no extra protection had been given. I was told the company ships paintings for auctioneers- well, I just cannot believe that.

On a wooden desk, just a thin layer of bubble wrap, no extra cardboard or something on top so it didn't get scratched. I opened the wrapping to find that one side of the legs had become completely separated. They had removed the drawer knobs and screws but they were just lying around loosely in the packing, unbelievable. No care at all to keep them safe so one of the drawer knobs just disappeared, no where to be found in the packaging- how is that even possible? This desk was of great sentimental value to me.

In another box, it was just shocking- the packer had just dumped everything into a box- a bag of heavy cutlery along with old files with handwritten letters- it was obvious to the eye that they were very old and should have been laid flat somewhere and protected. If that box had been turned upside down or on its side, the files would have been crushed by everything else ( including a bag of heavy cutlery).

I feel like these guys were a bunch of bulls let loose in a china shop. Just no common sense, respect or care for other people’s belongings. I am not at all impressed by the standards of packing and cannot recommend this company. These guys need way better training.

I deliberately withheld my tip for them because I wanted to see how they packed things first. Needless to say there will be none forthcoming.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $2199

From the beginning to the end, all was efficiently handled. Orbit's own people were friendly and very careful with our belongings. Not only did the shipment leave on the promised time but also arrived on schedule. The paper work was obviously well prepared and well handled as the french administration so famous for its red tape remained silent.

Orbit's french corespondents NMEurope were as efficient as Orbit itself. The unloading was done in record time and with a smile. Nothing was damaged and nothing was missing.

Two points: 1) I was under the impression that we were renting a 20' container but it turned out we were renting a certain amount of cubic feet and ended with some extra cost for extra cubic feet. 2) The french delivery driver decided not to trust the small road we live on and charged us extra for the use of a delivery van to empty his trailer parked some 1 km up the road from us.

I would recommend Orbit to anyone planning a move to France.

We had an amazing experience with Orbit International Moving logistics. We moved from USA to Canada and received all our goods on time with zero damage.

I’m really thankful to Tomy Klein for explaining entire process and giving me the confidence to not look any further. Eric Bocher was our moving coordinator and person behind our hassle free move. He explained everything step by step, took care of all our paperwork, and was also able to change our moving date. Im really thankful to him. At last big round of applause to all the best guy crew and orbit crew, who arrived on time with full precautions and carefully packed, unpacked all our belongings.They were extremely courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend Orbit International Moving to everyone.

Extremely satisfied with the relocation services provided by Orbit. The team was very engaging, transparent right from the quotation at source till the final delivery at the destination. The staff who did the packing at the source was amazing with quality to pack even small things in proper wrapping so as not to get damaged. I truly appreciate the staff and effort put in. The delivery happened with full transparency and updates at every logical movement. At the destination also, received a very engaged staff to store my items for more than 3 months before finally delivering at my destination home with quality and without any damages. Truly appreciate the end to end service. I highly recommend to use Orbit as their partner for International moving. Thanks

In a nutshell, Stay away from this company as they don't deliver what they promise and they charge way higher than other companies in the market who are at least cheaper and do much better service than Orbit (in Canada) and Berger Transfer Tampa (their tie-up company in Tampa, US)

I had to move from Ontario, Canada to Tampa Florida and I decided to go with Orbit. They charge everything upfront before they deliver and after that their crew (I don't blame the crew as they were nice/polite though as they were told to do so by the incompetent Sales and Management Team - Jared Sarfin from Orbit/Linda from Berger) just leave abruptly without assembling the big/heavier items that they packed it and then they throw you that your contract doesn't have that crap. I have paid 10k and in return, I receive broken items, missing items, and unprofessional service with total dishonest justification upon asking why the crew left without even taking my sign. Unfortunately, I have decided to go with Orbit International Moving Logistics LTD company when I was getting much cheaper quotes from others. Please do yourself a favor and look for some other company and don't go with their Sales pitch during initial conversations that you will have. I hope at least I get the insurance claim that I am going to file for.

The Toronto end of the move was pretty good. The men who actually picked up my stuff and put it on the truck were really great. The info for international moves to EU was totally inaccurate and the company was not at all abreast on how to inform me on what was needed on the other end. But that wasn't so bad. Besides being almost a month late, the people they use in Denmark were unprofessional, abusive, and half wits who kept trying to manipulate and intimidate me to pay them additional fees. Only when I mentioned a lawsuit and getting the authorities involved did my shit actually get delivered. So if you plan on moving to Denmark don't use Orbit.

We moved from Montreal to Jerusalem. Orbit International Moving Logistics Ltd handled the Canadian part. They were excellent in every way, but especially in the estimations, and in the wrapping and packing of our furniture and anything delicate. The estimators were professional, friendly, and accurate. They gave us good advice to reduce our volume such that everything could be accommodated in a smaller shipping container. The movers took great care with our fragile items, as well as with specialty items such a vinyl records and glassware; nothing there was damaged or broken. The workers arrived promptly, worked fast and efficiently, and were always courteous and friendly. Highly recommended.

Orbit International Moving logistics was an absolute nightmare to work with. 1.they will overestimate the moving load so you pay more.The claim this will be adjusted on moving day but it wasn't. 2. the staff is rude. 3. My property was severely damaged in the move. 4. Orbit pushed me to buy a lot of insurance, however, the insurance company they partner with W. K. Webster Overseas Ltd. does not pay out claims (it's been 5 months since I submitted mine and they just ignore my emails and calls). 5. the moving company they partner with on the Singapore end (smart Relocators) was also terrible and refused to unpack and assemble my shipment upon delivery. It's been 5 months since I moved to Singapore and this is a never-ending nightmare as I as I'm still battling with Orbit over my insurance claim
